Diocesan Youth Ministry Committee (DYMC)

Vision Statement

We are called to be God centred and demonstrate our faith through action.
We are rooted in the diverse Anglican tradition.
Through worship, teamwork, talent, resources and dedication, we are;

A place of worship,
An environment in which to build skills, develop one's self and grow in your relationship with God, and…
A community that inspires and empowers all who are involved and all who are touched.

Diocesan Youth Ministry Committee

The Niagara Youth Ministry Committee is a working group which meets regularly throughout the year for the purposes of:

- coordinating, supporting and evaluating all diocesan youth initiatives and events
- responding to initiatives in youth ministry from individuals, parishes, regions and other dioceses
- volunteer recruitment, training and support
- budget development and allocation
- communication about and advertising of youth ministry in Niagara
- educating the church and ourselves concerning a vision of mission in which youth are seen, not as segregated and isolated, but as a vital part of the whole church
- supporting Zipsqueal.com, the official unofficial Diocesan youth ministry web site

The committee membership consists of volunteers and is staffed by the Youth Ministry Consultants. All members of the committee are presently involved in youth ministry at the parish or diocesan level, and represent laity, clergy, adults and youth.
